Les vestiges de ce palais romain du 1er siècle ont été découverts en 1960. Vous pouvez y admirer la plus grande collection de Grande-Bretagne de mosaïques romaines de sol in situ. A l’extérieur, le jardin a été replanté avec des espèces qui auraient été cultivées à l’époque. Des objets de tous les jours trouvés dans les fouilles sont exposés dans la galerie du musée. Venez vous joindre à une visite “dans les coulisses” au Collections Discovery Centre pour avoir la chance de toucher à des objets. Ample parking gratuit; café, boutique et manifestations spéciales.

Die Überreste eines romanischen Palastes aus dem 1. Jahrhundert AD, die 1960 entdeckt wurden.Hier kann man Großbritanniens größte Kollektion von in-situ Mosaikfußböden sehen. In den Außenanlagen gibt es einen Garten der mit Pflanzen aus der ursprünglichen Erbauungszeit angelegt ist. Weitere romanische Objekte aus dem Alltagsleben, die bei Ausgrabungen gefunden wurden, sind in der Museumsgalerie ausgestellt. Eine Führung hinter der Szenerie im Kollektionsentdeckerzentrum bietet Ihnen die Gelegenheit sich die Artefakten etwas näher anzuschauen. Grosszügige gebührenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten, Café und Souvenirladen. Sonderveranstaltungen.

In 1960 waren de eerste eeuwse ruïnes van het Romeinse Paleis ontdekt. Hier kunt u de grootste verzameling van ter plaatse gelegde Romeinse vloer-mozaïken bezichtigen. Buiten is de tuin opnieuw beplant met planten die daar waarschijnlijk ook gedurende die tijd gekweekt waren. Verdere Romeinse artikelen, gevonden gedurende de opgravingen, zijn in de museumgalerij te bezichtigen. Sluit u aan bij een rondleiding die u achter de schermen neemt van het Collections Discovery Centre (Verzameling Ontdekkings Centrum) waar u de meeste artikelen kunt hanteren. Veel vrije parkeerplaatsen; café en souvenirwinkel zowel als speciale evenementen.
