Over this week, we’d like as many people as possible to come to the reserve and help us with our first ever ‘Big Wild Stock Take’. We want to know how many different species of birds, bugs, mammals and plants can be found here. With the help of our spotting booklets and roaming wardens, we’re asking you to record all of the wildlife you see from whirligig beetles and tiny goldcrests to bumblebees and buzzards. We’ll collect everyone’s records and, at the end of the week, put together a list of all the wildlife that has been found. We’ll also be running some extra activities to help us get the longest list...
Tuesday 05 June – marvellous moths
Time: Drop in between 8 am – 9.30 am
We’ll be running a moth trap overnight, so why not join us in the morning and see what we have lured in? From fantastic furry hawk moths to twig-imitating buff tips, moths are magnificent.
