Smugglers Adventure – St Clements Caves
Deep in the heart of Hastings West Hill lies the Smugglers Adventure, acres of caverns that conceal the thrilling history of smugglers, bootleggers and warring bloodthirsty gangs.

Explore the labyrinth of secret tunnels and passages and discover the dangers and hardships that faced the Sussex smugglers of the eighteenth century.

With dramatic sound and lighting and fascinating audio-visual shows, your ghostly guide, Hairy Jack, brings history to life – but be prepared for a few surprises!

Hastings Castle and the 1066 Story
Hastings Castle is forever linked with the most famous date in English history. 1066.

Today, visitors to this ancient monument can enjoy the 1066 Story – a spectacular audio-visual trip through the life and times of Britain’s first Norman castle.

Set in a medieval siege tent, the show gives a taste of the events and personalities behind the story which changed the course of English history.

Underwater World
At Underwater World, an exciting, vibrant environment lies beneath the waves, just waiting to be explored. The stunning reef pool, with its 15 metre glass tunnel is home to a multitude of native sharks and rays.

The sea-horse breeding facility gives an insight into the world of these delightful little creatures and there is always something new to see in the Nursery.

Underwater World gives an opportunity to understand more about the lives of those graceful and beautiful inhabitants of the waters around our coastline.

EDUCATION PACKS
FREE education packs are available for the Smugglers Adventure, Underwater World and Hastings Castle. They are particularly appropriate to Key Stage 2 but contain a careful balance between information and activities which can be adapted to individual ability levels.

For European groups our educational material is available in French, German and Flemish for the Smugglers Adventure and French and Flemish for Underwater World.

BOOKINGS
It is always advisable to book your visit, particularly in the months of May to July.
Our Group Travel Officer is happy to assist with any aspect of your visit to Hastings and is available from 10am – 5pm in the Summer and 11am – 4pm in the Winter.

Combined tickets are available in several combinations for Hastings Attractions.

INVOICING DETAILS
An invoicing facility is available for Travel Trade Organisations. We require two trade references and a bank reference for this facility to be set up. Invoices can be raised and paid in Euros on request.

WEST HILL CLIFF RAILWAY
For a unique experience, why not take the Victorian West Hill Cliff Railway to the Smugglers Adventure and Hastings Castle. You'll find the entrance in George Street in Hastings Old Town.

DISABLED GROUPS AND CARERS
We make no charge for any group member who is registered as disabled. In the case of a disabled group visit, carers only will be charged at the current group rate.

NURSERY GROUPS
Children under the age of 4 are admitted free to each attraction. Accompanying adults are charged at the full adult rate.

PARKING IN HASTINGS
Coach passengers may be set down at the coach parking bay on Priory Road, 300 metres equidistant from the Smugglers Adventure and Hastings Castle. There is longer-term parking available at the Fishmarket Coach Park on the Stade in Hastings Old Town.
