Located in a beautiful 15th century medieval hall house, with over 100,000 artefacts on display, Yesterday’s World takes visitors on a magical journey through vividly recreated shop and room settings that allow you to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era.

New state of the art exhibition centre featuring ‘An Audience with Queen Victoria’: a specially commissioned fully interactive audio-visual display using the latest computer generated 3D imagery (CGI) to describe the many social changes, inventions and developments that occurred during the long and illustrious reign of Queen Victoria. An educational visit to Yesterday’s World is ideal for all ages, particularly Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 year groups. As well as being a fantastic value for money fun day out, a trip to Yesterday’s World is a useful aid for teaching knowledge, skills and understanding through the following areas of study:

Inspire the imagination of your class as you set off up the winding stairs, back through time. Journey along the cobbled high street of yesteryear where you’ll find (amongst other displays) a 1930s grocers and post office with rapid wire system and hear the rumble of horse and cart in the busy market place.
